Maryland grown / Lifelong Martial Arts Student / Involved Father / Cyclist, Runner, Swimmer, Yogi / Outdoor Lover / Small Business Operator / Smoothie Creator / Nutritionist (in training) / Exercise Science Major

Staying active is my way of life that creates my happiness in my everyday life! I want to help others to build their repertoire of movement practices so each day can be new, fun, and fulfilling! I’m honored and excited to bring the art of Muay Thai to practitioners who may otherwise have never been motivated to set foot in a dedicated fight gym. There is NOTHING in this world like crackin’ some pads and having a blast with your training partners; it creates the strongest bonds of friendship you will ever experience!

CJay Phillip

Blessed / Youngest of Twelve / Passionate, Lifelong Learner / Singer / Songwriter / Broadway Baby

As Artistic Director of Dance & Bmore, I developed the FazaFam Family Jam to connect and strengthen families through games, music and movement that everyone can do. I spent several years in New York working on Broadway and I’m excited to bring my Adult Broadway Dance Class to those  ready for fun and fabulous jazz hands at the Movement Lab!

Cynthia Chavez

Dancer / Teacher / Constant Learner / Dance Leader / Social Entrepreneur / Co-Founder / Middle Child / Grew Up in Alaska / Fisherwoman / Food Lover / Beach Enthusiast / Volleyball Player / Zumba and Jumping Fitness Instructor

Dance is where I find my voice and my power.  I believe that dance allows people to better express themselves and elevate expectations within themselves to become successful community members that can achieve greatness. Through movement, whether it is through Hip-Hop dance, Zumba, or Jumping Fitness, I hope to not only help people recognize their full potential and self-worth, but also to foster positive relationships that strengthen communities.

Deborah Quirk

Dance and Movement Therapist / Yoga Devotee / Daughter of a Dancer / Member of a Family of Wild Wonderful Women / Lover of Friendship / A Forever Texan Living in Baltimore / Grateful for the Abundance in My Life That Sustains Me

I grew up in a dance studio because my dad was a tap/jazz dancer, so dance was truly my first language. I believe movement is a gateway to finding deeper understanding of our communication, both verbal and nonverbal. By increasing self- and body-awareness, movement provides a greater capacity for self-expression, especially when words are not enough. Plus, it is a joyous experience to feel one’s body so alive doing what we are meant to do–a moving body is Life in Action! And, of course, moving with others sustains me; it is food for my heart and soul.

Demi Brown

Explorer / Yoga Teacher / Artist / Shredder of the Dance Floor / Diagnosed with the Travel Bug / Hand-stander / Chanser of All Things Exhilarating

I live in Baltimore, but I love to explore new places for inspiration and adventure. I have a special place in my heart for the beautiful, luscious country of Costa Rica, where I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in the jungle. I’m inspired to bring the gift of mindfulness to others and give people tools to live each day in the present moment.

Elyza Dolby

Soul Seeker / Sun Chaser / Firey Aires / Vata-Pitta / Big sister / Connector / LOUD / Proud owner & mother to a fluffy, four-legged Beamer / Yoga Instructor by land [vinyasa] and sea [FloYo] / Yin Yoga Lover / Meditation Novice / Lifetime Learner / Hope(ful) Romantic

I was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and somewhere in between the corn fields and chicken houses, I began uncovering my love of all things yoga… the asana, the breath work, the presence, the energy. Though I ignored the lessons for years and chose a path of self-destruction instead, I continually came back to the practice, and finally found healing on my mat. Through yoga, meditation, laughter (and maybe a few tears), I hope to share my story so that others may be able to begin to recognize their own healing journey.

Greg Dorsey

Lover, not a fighter - But I will fight you / Cardio Freak / Runner / Retired Tri Geek / Musician / Political Activist / Dog Lover / Expert Muay Thai Kickboxing Instructor

A lifelong athlete with over two decades of Combat Sports experience. I very much enjoy sharing my knowledge and interacting with my students in a high energy environment. Muay Thai Kickboxing can be a powerful addition to one’s physical and mental being; I love to see the fitness improvements and the confidence building that develops with student’s consistency. Get fit and kick butt.

Heather Leah Huddleston

Our bodies are reflections of the stories we tell ourselves, and every person has a right to own and share their stories. With creative movement those stories can be expressed and shifted into ones of our own creation–who we want to become and the lives we want to create. I encourage my students to be raw, real, open, and as goofy as they want to be in all of my classes.
